Hong Kong Day 1: 6 Jul
Woke up at 5am to prepare to go to the airport. Reached airport at 7am for check-in, which was fast cos did online check-in alr. Aft which, went for breakfast at mr. bean then proceed to boarding gate. Flight was onboard Cathay Pacific which took off exactly at 8am. Reached HK at 11:30am.By the time we collected for luggage, waited for the rest for airport transfer and checked into the hotel, was alr 2:30pm. Yup, stayed at Prudential Hotel which is along the shopping stretch. V accessible! Anw, took a hot shower and headed out for shopping at Tsimshatsui.
1st stop was at the esprit outlet along hankow road. Though having huge discounts, but it seems almost like nth nice was inside. So went off and walked ard tt shopping belt till early dinner time which we had at crystal jade in harbourcity. Selected there cos didn;t really wanna search and walk somemore to find food as we were hungry. Harbourcity is really huge, 4 times our vivocity size. The nicest thing is actually the sea view which we can see from the restaurant. Anw..crystal jade cusine there is v unlike singapore's. The cooking and dishes are very different. More unique food there. Aft dinner, went to silvercord centre which houses the IT Sales Shop. It sells all the big brands with gd discount. However, it's not appealing to us at all. It's pale in comparison to those in US, cos over in here, the quality and design is poor depsite being a designer brand..yucks..End up, we managed to finish shopping at Tsimshatsui area faster than expected though we initially as planned, there was suppose to be lotsa shopping there.
And so, moved off fr Tsimshatsui and went back to Jorden where our hotel sits. Went to the Temple Street Mkt(Nan Ren Jie) and Bowring St Mkt which is very near our hotel. Bowring St has nothing much to shop, and Temple St Mkt was better. We combed thr the area quite quickly, bought some pastry from some street bakery and headed back to the hotel for the night.
