SF's Hong Kong Trip

Hong Kong Day 2: 7 Jul

Woke up early today cos had lotsa shopping places to cover. Went over to Shamrock Hotel which was opp our hotel, for dim sum breakfast. We ordered a little too much and had some prob finishing all the dishes but did it in the end. Aft breakfast, went to Mongkok for shopping. Ladies' mkt, Fa Yuen St are there. Anw, headed to Grand Centry Plaza 1st cos UCB factory outlet is there. To our disappointment, NO, it closes down alr. Haiz..wasted trip. Thkfully, surrounding the plaza is Fa Yuan St and Ladies Mkt. So went Ladies Mkt 1st where we'd managed to find some nicer stuff. Was v scorching at the mkt cos was in the afternoon. Aft a while, despite having a heavy breakfast earlier, we went for Xu Liu Shan, mango desert..yummy, I luve it so much.Ordered 5 mango drinks and desert, cooled down in there and head out for Fa Yuen St. This st sells alotsa sports items, with shops as well as the nike and adidas sports shop there. With so many shops 1 aft another, it's really difficult to tell which one sells the orginal item. Yes for eg, the nike and adidas boutique are easy to tell they sells original pdt, but not for the other shops. Pr there are competitive as well..all almost the same, but it differs in the discount--whether some shops have the discount or not. Anw, bro managed to get his le coq sportif bag there for ard S$60...and ya, bros and i were quite tempted to get each a birks there cos it's slightly cheaper. But aft much thinking and shopping ard, decided not to, cos no pt carrying 3 pairs of birks back with only slightly cheaper pr.
Aft visiting both mkts and the surrounding shopping centres, went for dinner at tis Cheers restaurant which was recommended by the locals there. When we reached there, there was alr a long queue even before the resturant opens for dinner. Of cos we waited. We were only given 2 hrs to dine. Anw, food there is really gd esp for the steamed prawns and black pepper beef. Gd ambience too! Aft a nice long dinner, we slowly proceed back to the hotel..pretty early to retreat back..only 830pm..but we were all tired and juz wanna slack ard..Well..bros had a visionary treat back in the hotel cos they managed to catch their tennis final matches. We stayed up till 12+am to watch tv and plan the itinerary for the next day.
