Hong Kong Day 4: 9 Jul

Last section of shopping to cover today, which was at Central. It's also the place where it houses one of the food highlights we've planned--Yung Kee resturant and Eggtarts at Lynnhurst Terrace!!

Went out fr hotel on an almost empty stomach to Pedder Building 1st at central. This building is an old colonial building which has many shops inside selling designer clothes at sales pr. As again, the display were disapppointing cos of similar pr as to Sin and the selection not as gd as imagined. I tink ever since our US trip, all shoppings are really now compared to it and even its pr, to ensure if tt selection is worth buying back to Sin. Anw, finished w e building quite fast and wentfor brunch. We headed str for Yung Kee to try out the roasted meat tt they are famous for, esp it's roast goose. We ordered half a goose, roasted pig and meat plus some other ala carte dishes. Indeed, was true tt the roasted goose is fabulous. V tender and juicy, complemented very well with the gravy. We wanted to order some dim sum as well, but it's dim sum time was in the afternoon. So anw,decided to have our brunch here and come back ltr for the dimsum in the afternoon and take away an entire roast goose back to the hotel for dinner.

Aft brunch, moved on to Li Yuen Street East & West to shop. Ok these st are not as enticing as Ladies Mkt. So proceed on to H&M which we spotted its huge boutique earlier. In there, we really spent hrs inside cos the selections inside is nt bad..can say one of the best so far we've seen. Yup all of us each found at least sth we liked. N so dim sum timing was up, n we went back to Yung Kee's. In this second visit, it was then we realised tt there's actually some pr dicrimination inside this restaurant. Where ever levels u choose to be seated, ur food pr will differ slighltly even though dishes are similar. Like for eg, if u order the roast goose at the 1st level and fr the 2nd level, the pr differ by abt HK$20. Unbelieveable arh. Anw, bros still chose to be seated upstairs at the 2nd level, cos he din liked the 1st level. The dim sum range here is quite limited but they had the usual few dishes. As we were still quite full fr brunch, tis limited selection suited our stomachs. Aft dim sum, mum ordered the roast goose for take away but to our horror, it's sold out and we needa wait another 2hrs for it. Ok then, since we wanted to have it again, we went out to Lydnhurst Terrace for the recommended eggtarts 1st. The eggtarts here is quite unlike Sin ones. The egg fillings in the middle is very creamy and "eggy", which is nice, but its a pity tt the crust was not tt gd. Anw, so while waiting for time, we went to a cafe for coffee for ard 1+hrs then went back to Yung Kee's to get the goose.

Went back hotel to drop the goose and haf a rest b4 heading out to the streets along our hotel for shopping. Yup our hotel is juz right on Nathan Road, which is a shopping belt. Basically, we were juz shopping and walking aimlessly. Had mango desert again at Xu Liu Shan, then went back hotel for the goose. All of us are really eating alot in HK instd of shopping..

Roast goose at Yung Kee restaurant was sold out by mid day and we had to wait for another 2hrs to buy it
